Plan Description

Bay windows accent both the dining room and living room, which are separated by a dominating masonry fireplace. The family room, which opens to the rear patio, and the breakfast area flank the galley-style kitchen. A powder room completes the first floor. An open, railed staircase ascends to the gallery, which has a window seat in the dormer window. The laundry alcove is on this floor to ease household chores. Three family bedrooms share a bath, while the master bedroom has a private bath. Everything, including the text, is backward in relation to the original design. These kinds of drawing are typically used to reorient an original plan more advantageously on a site, either because the homeowner prefers it that way or because of limitations of the site itself.
