Plan Description

The design sits on a unique and challenging piece of mountain property. Various site features and constraints, along with the client’s wishes called for design that soars up in the air to take in the spectacular views through its many sets of windows. This tower cabin features up to four levels of living space, all connected by an internal spiral staircase. The client desired lots of outdoor deck space without causing an increase to the home’s footprint. Visbeen Architects accomplished this by designing a wraparound deck supported by massive double sets of brackets at three corners of the tower. The home can be entered at two of the four levels, utilizing a bridge leading to a nearby bank of land.
