Plan Description
This compact mountain-modern cabin is designed to live far larger than its 1,442 square feet. A two-story vaulted family room opens to a wall of windows, with a fireplace anchoring the space and a kitchen running open alongside it. The main level holds the primary bedroom and a second bedroom, along with the kitchen and family room, so the home functions on one floor when it needs to. Upstairs, a landing overlooks the family room and leads to a third bedroom and a bunk loft sharing a full bath, pushing the sleeping capacity well beyond three bedrooms. A private deck opens off the upper level. A partial wraparound porch runs nearly the full width of the home, part of it covered, and centers on an outdoor fire pit, extending the living space into the open air. The narrow 35-foot-wide footprint suits a tight or sloping lot where a wider plan won't fit. The home is drawn for a slab or crawl space foundation, builder's choice.
