Though it was formed in 1994, LifeStyle's origins date back much earlier to 1946 and the post-WWII housing boom. Then, it was involved in home design and mail-order blueprints. Now, the company teams up with designers in the Midwest to offer an impressive collection of plans in a wide variety of sizes and styles.

LifeStyle plans often display walls of windows, family-friendly open floor plans, and striking exteriors. Such beautiful features have made LifeStyle's vacation homes particularly popular, but are also found in a variety of styles such as Craftsman, Mediterranean, and Ranch. Homes based on LifeStyle blueprints have been built across the U.S. and internationally.

LifeStyle's partners include Jim Verhaest, Mark Englund, Doug Buster, and Doug Sharp. All four have been regularly involved in several relevant organizations, including the American Institute of Architects, the American Institute of Building Design, and the Council of Publishing Home Designers.
