The number of stories is an easy way to identify the size of a home.
Why it's Important to You
You may want a single-story home if you, or a member of your family, finds stairs to be inaccessible -- or even if you might in the near future. The majority of these homes have the master suite on the first floor. A two- or three-story home could be preferable if you are building on a smaller lot but looking for more living space.
